Howdy N-1 Knights, Former Knights, and Parents,

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Company N-1 Newsletter!

Our goal with this newsletter is simple: to strengthen the connection within our Knight family and keep everyone informed throughout the school year. Whether you're a current Knight, an incoming fish, a proud parent, or one of our Former Knights, you are an important part of what makes Company N-1 special. We hope this newsletter serves as a way to celebrate our accomplishments, share important updates, recognize our people, and keep our entire community connected to the traditions and values that define our outfit.

We are incredibly excited to begin a new school year and another chapter in Company N-1's history. Did you know that this year marks our 30th year as the Knights on the Quad?

Company N-1 has a unique history unlike any other outfit in the Corps. Originally established as the Neanderthals, our company later underwent a transformation and was reinstated as the Knights. Rather than leaving our past behind, we embraced both identities as part of who we are today. The Neanderthals represent strength, resilience, passion, and grit, while the Knights embody intelligence, tact, honor, and wit. Together, these traditions remind us that great leaders possess both the determination to persevere and the wisdom to lead with purpose. It is this combination of strength and character that continues to shape the culture of Company N-1 and makes our outfit truly one of a kind.

We look forward to continuing our tradition of being First in Sight, Ready to Fight!

A Message from Our Commanding Officer

As we begin a new school year, our Commanding Officer has challenged Company N-1 to continue building upon the culture and identity that make our outfit unique.

This year, Company N-1 builds upon its culture and identity by committing to purpose, excellence, and accountability in everything we do. As we remain true to our legacy of producing exceptional leaders for both the military and civilian worlds, we also commit ourselves to one another in a way that honors the Neanderthals and Knights who came before us. By living out these ideals every day, we will continue to strengthen our outfit and carry our traditions forward.

Our guiding theme for the year is "All the Way, and Then Some!" Through this commitment, the Company N-1 Knights will truly be "First in Sight, Ready to Fight!"

Speaking of tradition, it's almost that time again—Freshman Orientation Week (FOW) is just around the corner! We could not be more excited to welcome the Class of 2030 and their families into the N-1 family. FOW marks the beginning of an unforgettable journey, and we are honored to be a part of it.

We also have an exciting lineup of events planned throughout the year, including our beloved Company BBQs, prepared by our very own N-1 Knights BBQ Chain. This year, we're especially excited to put our newly donated BBQ trailer to good use. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, this new addition will help us continue one of our favorite traditions while bringing our Knight family together over great food and fellowship. Be sure to stay tuned for upcoming dates and event details—we hope to see you there!

To our returning Knights, it will be a pleasure to welcome you back to the Quad as we begin another year of challenging one another to become leaders who exemplify the Corps of Cadets' Core Values. As you prepare to return, please communicate your expected arrival time with your Chain of Command and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding move-in or the start of the semester.

As summer adventures begin to give way to the excitement of a new academic year, we are looking forward to everything this semester has in store. Your Command Team, Cadre, and outfit leadership have worked tirelessly throughout the summer to prepare for your return, and we want to extend our sincere appreciation for their countless hours of planning and dedication. Their commitment has laid the foundation for what promises to be an outstanding year.

We would also like to thank every member of Company N-1 for your dedication and enthusiasm as we prepare for the year ahead. The strength of this outfit has always come from its people, and we are excited to continue building on the traditions that make Company N-1 a family.

To the Class of 2030—welcome to Company N-1. We are honored to have you join our ranks and cannot wait to watch you grow into the next generation of Knights.
