September Edition: BTHO Missouri State
Howdy N-1 Knights, Former Knights, and Parents,
Welcome to the September edition of the Company N-1 Newsletter!
All of us Knights have been thrilled to be back on the Quad and have enjoyed an excellent first week of classes. After a busy summer, it has been great to see the Quad come back to life and watch our outfit settle back into the rhythm of another school year.
First Gameday Weekend
This upcoming Saturday marks the very first Aggie football game of the 2026-2027 school year. Along with the start of football season comes many of the Aggie traditions that make Gameday in Aggieland so special, including Friday Corps Runs, Outfit BBQs, Midnight Yell, and the Corps of Cadets Gameday March-In.

Our first Outfit BBQ of the season will be held this Saturday, September 5, at 12:00 PM on Coke Street in front of the Sam Houston Sanders Corps Center. The entry fee is $15 per guest, which covers all food and drinks provided at the BBQ.
Our Sophomores will be up late Friday night following Midnight Yell preparing the food that will be served at the BBQ. This will also be the first time we get to use our new Company N-1 BBQ pit, and our Sophomores cannot wait to fire it up.
The BBQ is also a great opportunity to purchase outfit merchandise and, for those who feel generous, make a donation to Company N-1. All funds collected from the BBQ go toward supporting future outfit BBQs and activities.
Midnight Yell
Our Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2028 Juniors will be on the field this Friday night for the very first Midnight Yell of the season.
If you are in town for the game, come show our Juniors your support during this incredible Aggie tradition, and watch the fish try to smoke them. We are very excited to have you join us for these events.

March-In
Now, what we have all been waiting for: Gameday.
Expect your cadet to be very busy as kickoff approaches and the Corps prepares for step-off. Parents, plan to meet your cadet in the back right corner of the Quad by Dorm 4 - Fountain Hall around 3:50 PM. Your cadet should be arriving around 4:10 PM to take a quick picture with family and prepare for step-off.

There are many incredible traditions that take place on Gameday, including the outfit hump-its and the Corps hump-it. Each outfit's hump-it is unique and serves as a phrase that cadets carry with them throughout their time in the Corps, something to take pride in and find meaning in as they discover their place within the Corps.
Our fish will also get to participate in some good bull with their upperclassmen. They will experience their first Corps Run on Friday morning and will get to participate in Gameday traditions with their upperclassmen through their fish buttons.
The Band will step off first, followed by the Corps as we march through the arches, around the MSC, past O.R. Simpson Drill Field, and back to the Quad. For many of our cadets, this will be their first opportunity to experience the full excitement and tradition of an Aggie Gameday.
Parking
There are several options for parking around campus on Gameday. Campus parking garages are available and charge by the hour, but they can fill up quickly. Gameday shuttles are another option and typically begin running approximately three hours before kickoff, servicing parking in locations such as Lot 100 near Reed Arena.
Families may also choose to pre-purchase a Gameday parking pass for certain designated lots. We recommend planning ahead, as parking becomes increasingly limited as kickoff approaches.
Silver Taps
While we celebrate the beginning of another school year and the traditions that bring Aggies together, we also take time to remember those we have lost.
This past Tuesday, the Texas A&M community gathered for Silver Taps, honoring Aggies who passed away over the summer. Silver Taps is one of the most solemn traditions at Texas A&M and serves as a reminder of the strength of the Aggie Family and the importance of remembering those who came before us.
As we begin a new year on the Quad, we remember these Aggies and keep their families and loved ones in our thoughts.
First Week Back
The first week of classes has officially come to a close, and Company N-1 is off to a great start. From first-day-of-school pictures to early mornings on the Quad, our Knights have jumped right back into the swing of things. The first week is always an adjustment, especially for our fish experiencing their first week as members of the Corps and college students, but our cadets have handled it with enthusiasm and determination.
We are especially excited for what is coming next. Guardroom is right around the corner this Monday, giving our Knights another opportunity to come together, build relationships, and strengthen the bonds that make Company N-1 what it is.
To our current Knights: keep pushing, keep looking out for one another, and remember that every day is a new opportunity to grow.
To our former Knights and parents: thank you for continuing to support Company N-1 from near and far. Your support helps preserve the traditions and spirit that make this outfit so special.
We hope to see many of you on the Quad this weekend as we kick off another Aggie football season.
